Stage one of A "Found" Wedding Story; LOCATION :)

So we have the story started. The blog is following, the rings bought, the wedding clothing found, purchased, cleaned, and fitted. What is next?

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! Whether you are having a small function or a large one the place you choose needs to be an empty husk that you can envision coming to life with your created atmosphere. You can hire a wedding planner, sure, yet that added cost is not only an added cost, it can also make all these steps shown here that much more challenging to fit into your dream wedding picture... you know, the one you had since you were a small child and dreamt of marrying the love of your life? So be brave and BOLD and BELIEVE in YOUR SELF and the support of your PARTNER, and family and friends. If you give yourselves enough time to plan it all out then it becomes fun actually, in so many amazing and magical ways. Not to mention the intimacy that grows even further between you and prospective other half.

So back to LOCATION: We chose for our quaint event of no more than 36 ppl a wedding that is both practical, simple, and effective. Our backyard space is connected to a neighbors, we both have a giant garage side by each, with enough ground space to cover the entire event... here is our 'husk'~

to one side of our back yard is an over grown with weeds plot of earth.
this is where I am going to create our wedding vows. With our bare feet on the Earth GROUNDING our vows and intertwining us back into the fabric of our roots.
we have already found a great deal of stuff for this area :) so exciting :)
one of the points of concern is this driveway, which we will have to close off in a nice manner and also create it as The BRIDAL PATH AISLE. Where the song wedding march is played and starts the whole event!
another challenge will be to convert the gravel on the neighbor's half into all an even walking usable dining and event worthy experience. plus this angle will be the source of a huge amount of movement. the stairs are leading into our space where thankfully the washroom is located, however its the same entrance as the catering crew. PLUS this is where I will be walking down the aisle so a definite planning stage is going to take place here !!!
The lovely Neighbor Ms.Coco has been gracious enough to allow us to use her side of the back space, and although the gravel is a battling point its not a breaking issue, we have already begun to brainstorm up ways to make this whole area suitable to dancing, eating and high heels :)
along with the gravel is this small divider that she had created for the separation of the space. problem solving will need to keep this in mind and work around it...

beside the wedding vows EARTH GROUNDING plot is this stair case which by the time August comes will be covered in green vines, pictures will look really sweet with family and friends shots here. mind you the one element we have to look at in this spot is the downstairs neighbor who although is cool with the event we must still find a way to close off the space to give her privacy and also clean up the lines for the wedding pictures.

This is essentially the space and measurements of which we have to work with.
The whole space is going to be covered in Tents to protect us from too much sun, or weather permitting conditions, plus its also the flooring essentials ground map we have to work with.

No job is too small or too large in this kind of planning. It will take a few wise decisions and working together until the day of but its all very possible.

and the end results are going to be stunning :) !!! (:
